At Straits International School Rawang, going green is a great initiative with student-led mission to care for the planet.Through the Green Team initiative, our learners are driving real change by taking ownership of everyday sustainability practices.Launched by the ESG committee, the campaign invites students and staff to scan a QR code from posters across campus and complete a short survey about their eco-friendly habits from switching off lights to reducing waste. Those who show active participation receive an “I’m On The Green Team” badge as a symbol of their commitment to protecting the environment. As part of the movement, students are also leading a school-wide gardening effort. By collecting fruit seeds and planting them in recycled containers, such as bottles and cans from the canteen, they are turning waste into something green and growing. This initiative reflects the heart of Amazing Learning: hands-on, purposeful and student-led. It’s a reminder that when learners take the lead, even small actions can spark lasting impact.
