Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming a scientist. I chose IGCSE subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Maths to build a strong foundation and follow my passion for physics, step by step.
Bhavisya Class of 2023, IGCSE Graduate
Ever since I was a child, I knew that I was going to grow up to be a scientist - but it wasn't till much later that I realized my passion was for physics. Knowing this, I took the subjects that would best prepare me for this path: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Add Maths, ICT, Economics, English language, and English literature. The sciences and maths were the most important because they set a strong foundation for pre-university and are the most relevant to my future plans. The rest of the subjects I picked not only because I was passionate about them and needed them in everyday life, but also because I wanted to keep my options open. After my IGCSEs, I chose to do A-Levels at Sunway College, narrowing down my options to the subjects that I need most - Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Hopefully, after my A-Levels I can pursue my passion overseas - and I know the key to this would be planning every step of the way carefully, starting from choosing the right subjects for IGCSE.
